Two teenagers are feared drowned in the Bagmati river in East Champaran district on the first Monday of the holy month of Shravan. The incident occurred at Devapur Sangam Ghat, where many devotees had gathered to collect holy water for Jalabhishek.
Three teenagers entered the river and were overwhelmed by a strong current. While one managed to reach safety, Kamlesh Kumar (17) and Roshan Kumar (14) went missing. Local residents and boatmen immediately launched a search, which continued into the evening without success.
