Tragedy struck a Hanuman Janmotsav procession in Sagar's Makronia area on Sunday when a DJ vehicle overturned, resulting in the death of a 15-year-old boy. The procession had commenced from the Sankat Mochan Temple when the unfortunate incident occurred.
Eyewitness accounts suggest that several youths had climbed onto the DJ vehicle and were dancing when it veered out of control and overturned. This sudden mishap caused widespread panic among the procession participants.
The deceased has been identified as Aryan Kori, aged 15, a resident of Krishna Nagar. Approximately seven other individuals who were on the vehicle sustained injuries. They were promptly transported to a nearby hospital and are currently receiving medical attention.
Locals present at the scene displayed quick thinking, assisting in the rescue of the injured and extricating them from beneath the overturned vehicle prior to the arrival of law enforcement. Police teams subsequently arrived, restored order, and ensured the route was cleared. A case of accidental death has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
