A shocking incident unfolded in Surat on Sunday afternoon when Usha Jain, a 28-year-old entrepreneur, died after jumping from the Anuvrat Dwar flyover. Jain, known for owning Sidhu Momos Café on VIP Road, was a resident of Vesu. Witnesses reported that she parked her electric two-wheeler on the flyover before descending from the bridge.
A traffic police constable, who witnessed the fall, immediately alerted authorities. Jain was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital via ambulance, but tragically, she could not survive her injuries. Her family, residing in Vesu, has been informed and reached the police station following the incident.
Initial police investigations point towards possible financial stress as a contributing factor to Jain's extreme step. The exact circumstances leading to her death are still under thorough investigation by the Khatodara police, who have registered a case of accidental death.
