In the early hours of Monday, June 8, 2026, three teenage girls were injured when a stolen car crashed into a residential property in Brisbane, Queensland. The red Hyundai Accent, stolen two days prior on Saturday, June 6, was traveling at nearly twice the 37mph speed limit before it rolled multiple times and impacted a two-story house.
The collision caused significant structural damage to the home. The rear passenger, a 14-year-old girl, sustained critical head injuries and was transported to Queensland Children's Hospital. The alleged driver, also 14, and another 15-year-old passenger, both sustained minor injuries and were taken to the same hospital in stable condition.
A resident of the home suffered minor lacerations from broken glass while assisting the girls. He did not require hospitalization. Local residents described the scene as shocking, with the car obliterating parts of the neighbor's yard before hitting the house. Despite their injuries, the girls reportedly expressed reluctance to call emergency services.
