A SpiceJet aircraft and a stationary Akasa Air plane were involved in a collision at Delhi airport on Thursday afternoon. The incident happened around 2:15 pm as the SpiceJet aircraft was taxiing towards its gate after arriving from Leh. It made contact with the Akasa Air plane, which was preparing for its departure to Hyderabad.
Reports indicate that the right winglet of the SpiceJet aircraft sustained damage, while the left-hand horizontal stabiliser of the Akasa plane was struck. Akasa Airline confirmed that its aircraft was stationary at the time of the incident. The airline assured that all passengers and crew were safely disembarked and were arranging for alternative travel for affected passengers.
