A tragic incident occurred late on Monday, December 29, when a 27-year-old man was fatally struck by a speeding pickup truck in Lucknow's Alambagh area. The victim, Ashirwad Singh Rana, was on his way home from Bangla Bazar when the collision happened near the Supply Depot.
The pickup truck was reportedly driven at high speed and in a negligent manner, causing the severe injuries that led to Ashirwad's immediate death at the scene. His mother, Shashi Singh, filed a written complaint with the Alambagh police station the following day.
Authorities have registered a First Information Report under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The vehicle involved in the accident has been seized, and the driver has been taken into custody. Further investigations are currently in progress to determine the exact circumstances of the fatal crash.
