A significant fire, reignited by strong winds, is spreading near Senet in Catalonia, north-eastern Spain. This blaze is burning in difficult terrain characterized by steep ravines, with firefighting aircraft deployed to combat the flames at high altitudes.
In western Spain, over 800 residents from Casas de Millán and Grimaldo in Cáceres, Extremadura, were evacuated following a lorry fire that quickly consumed surrounding vegetation. This fire is currently at the lowest alert level.
Assisting in these efforts, a specialized German wildfire unit arrived in Castile and Leon with 21 vehicles to help tackle a fire in a nature reserve, highlighting the international response to Spain's ongoing wildfire crisis.
