Shark Attack Horror: Tourist Dies on Last Day

A devastating shark attack claimed the life of a 68-year-old Austrian tourist while she was swimming at the Sahl Hasheesh resort in Egypt's Red Sea. The incident occurred on what was reportedly her last day of holiday. The woman suffered catastrophic injuries, including the loss of an arm and a leg, and tragically died from shock in an ambulance despite efforts to save her.

Following the fatal assault, Egyptian authorities promptly implemented a ban on swimming, diving, snorkeling, and fishing in the waters from Sahl Hasheesh to Makadi Bay for a period of three days. This measure was enacted to prevent further incidents and ensure the safety of beachgoers. The victim was reportedly married to an Egyptian man and resided in the country with him.

Disturbing footage captured by onlookers showed the woman desperately swimming towards the shore, bleeding profusely, while wearing a flipper. Witnesses criticized the apparent lack of lifeguards or immediate rescue personnel, with a crowd watching helplessly as she battled to reach safety.
