Rochdale Crash: Woman Cut Free, Four Injured

Emergency services responded to a significant road traffic collision in Rochdale on the evening of Thursday, December 4th, at approximately 8:30 PM. The incident took place at the junction of Bolton Road and Eskdale Avenue, prompting road closures and a request for the public to avoid the area.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service deployed two fire engines and a specialized rescue unit. Firefighters utilized cutting equipment to free a woman trapped in one of the two involved vehicles. She was subsequently transported to the hospital by ambulance.
In addition to the woman hospitalized, four other individuals sustained injuries and were assessed and treated by paramedics at the scene. Fire crews worked to secure the area before handing it over to the police, concluding their attendance after approximately one and a half hours.
