In a devastating incident last month, Mynie Steffens, a renowned South African chef and television personality, lost her life in a helicopter crash. Steffens, the host of the popular cooking show "Speel met Vuur" ("Playing with Fire"), was piloting the aircraft on a crop-dusting operation at a citrus farm near the town of Patensie in the Eastern Cape when the tragic accident occurred.
According to reports, the 43-year-old chef and pilot was spraying pesticides on the crops early on the morning of November 13th when the helicopter struck power lines and crashed. The Accidents and Incidents Investigations Division stated that the impact force substantially damaged the helicopter. Steffens, a skilled pilot who often documented her aerial adventures on social media, did not survive the crash.
