Recycling Site Owner Found Dead in Burned Caravan

The owner of a recycling centre, 66-year-old David Stephen Britton, was found deceased inside a burned-out caravan on his property near Dartmouth in Devon. His remains were discovered on October 30, three days after a fire broke out at the Dittisham Landfill Site.
Authorities were alerted to the incident on October 30 following concerns for Mr. Britton's welfare. Upon investigation, human remains were located within the destroyed caravan. These have since been confirmed as belonging to Mr. Britton, and an inquest into his death has been opened.
Devon and Cornwall Police have indicated that the fire is not currently considered suspicious, although the exact cause remains under investigation. A full hearing regarding the circumstances of Mr. Britton's death is scheduled to take place at a later date.
