Pune Residents Demand Permanent Traffic Solution After Roundabout Removal
31 Oct, 2025
Summary
- Temporary roundabout of bollards removed 2 months ago
- Residents still waiting for permanent fix to traffic issues
- Police requested 18-meter roundabout, but PMC says plan not finalized

In October 2025, two months after a temporary roundabout of bollards was removed at Raheja Vista chowk on NIBM Annexe Road in Pune, the local residents are still waiting for a permanent fix to the area's ongoing traffic issues.
The temporary roundabout was initially created without any consultation with the traffic police, leading to a protest by citizens in August. Following this, the bollards were removed. After discussions with the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), a smaller roundabout of bollards was then set up on a trial basis to determine the proper size for all vehicles to pass through easily.
