Brake Failure Causes Fatal Bus Crash in Pune Ghat

A fatal accident took place on the Bopdev Ghat section of the Kondhwa-Saswad Road in Pune on Saturday, February 11, 2026, around 4:15 PM. A private luxury bus, reportedly experiencing brake failure due to overheating, collided with multiple vehicles. The bus, en route from Mangalvedha to Pune city with about 20 passengers, first struck two motorcycles, a car, and an auto-rickshaw.
Tragically, Abhishek More, a 42-year-old resident of Tathawade, succumbed to his injuries early on Sunday, February 12, 2026. More, along with his wife and two sons, was traveling on one of the motorcycles when it was hit from behind by the bus. His son sustained leg fractures, and the auto-rickshaw driver also suffered leg injuries. The injured were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
