On the evening of October 16, 2025, a tragic accident occurred in Auraiya's Dibiyapur town when a pregnant woman and her young son were struck and killed by a train. The victims, 28-year-old Pooja and her 5-year-old son Deepak, were on the railway tracks when the Amrit Bharat Express hit them around 8 PM.
Pooja, who was three months pregnant at the time, had arrived at the railway station with Deepak to bring him food. However, a dispute arose between the couple, and Pooja reportedly reached the tracks with her son. Authorities state that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and an investigation is underway.
The family, however, claims that Pooja was actually returning from a doctor's visit for Deepak's treatment when the accident occurred. Pooja's husband-in-law, Ramsanehi, revealed that the couple had a love marriage just three months ago, and Deepak was Pooja's son from her previous marriage.
