Speeding Porsche Hits Divider, Injures Child

A recent Sunday morning accident on Mumbai's Coastal Road saw a speeding Porsche collide with a road divider and then strike another car. The incident occurred behind Breach Candy Hospital. The driver of the Porsche, identified as Vijay Pandey, reportedly lost control of the vehicle. While the Porsche's airbags deployed, preventing injury to its driver, a young girl in the other car sustained minor injuries. She was treated at a hospital and subsequently discharged.
An FIR has been registered against the Porsche driver for rash driving and negligence. Police have sent Mr. Pandey for blood tests and are awaiting the results to ascertain if he was driving under the influence of alcohol. The accident caused temporary traffic congestion on the Coastal Road. This event follows another incident last Wednesday where a car caught fire in a tunnel on the same road, causing significant traffic disruptions but no injuries.
