Sydney Skies Turn Tragic: Two Planes Collide

Tragedy struck Sydney's south-west on Sunday when two light aircraft collided in mid-air, resulting in the death of one pilot. The incident happened near Napperfield Airfield around 12:15 PM.
One of the aircraft plunged into nearby bushland, where emergency services discovered the wreckage and the body of its sole occupant. The pilot of the second aircraft, however, was able to land safely at the airfield, emerging from the ordeal uninjured.
Authorities have established two crime scenes to facilitate an investigation into the collision. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau will lead the inquiry into the cause of the fatal crash, urging the public to avoid the area.
