Emergency services conducted an overnight rescue operation in Eastbourne after a person became trapped in sea defence rocks. Responders were called to Prince William Parade shortly after 00:30 GMT on Friday.
Two fire crews and the service's technical rescue unit were dispatched to the scene. They successfully freed the trapped individual.
Paramedics attended to the person at the location before transporting them to a local hospital for additional medical evaluation and treatment. Firefighters concluded their involvement in the rescue by approximately 03:15 GMT.
