Patna Teen Drowns in Ganga; Friends Missing After Rescue

Tragedy struck at Patna's Adilpur Ghat on Sunday morning when three teenage friends drowned in the Ganga River. Ankush Kumar, 15, ventured into deep water and began to drown. His friends, Raunak Kumar, 16, and Sundaram Kumar, 15, attempted a rescue but were also swept away.
The body of Ankush Kumar was later recovered from the river. However, Raunak Kumar and Sundaram Kumar remain missing, prompting an extensive search operation. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and local divers are involved in the ongoing efforts.
The three boys, all classmates recently promoted to Class XI, hailed from Jagmal Bigha village. Their families have been notified and are present at the ghat. Police have initiated an investigation into the incident, and the recovered body has been sent for post-mortem.
