In preparation for the upcoming Dhanteras and Diwali celebrations, the Patna Police have announced a series of traffic restrictions and diversions to be implemented on October 18 and 19, 2025. According to the police headquarters, entry of all vehicles, except for emergency services, will be prohibited on Machhuatoli road and Bari Path towards Bakarganj. These vehicles will instead be allowed to pass through the Dinkar roundabout.
Additionally, the operation of goods vehicles will be banned from 2 pm to 10 pm on both sides of the Dinkar roundabout, towards Sahitya Sammelan and Nala Road. Entry of vehicles towards Churi Market and Thakurbari Mor from Kadamkuan Mor will also be prohibited. No goods vehicles will be allowed to enter from Buddhamurti roundabout towards Nala Road, and will instead be diverted towards West Lohanipur to Rajendra Nagar Mod.
To further ease the flow of traffic, the road from Chhajubag Mor towards City Centre Mall will be one-way, with autos coming from Kotwali on Buddha Marg allowed to go towards Chhajubag. Vehicles exiting the parking lot of City Centre Mall will be directed to turn left towards Navin Police Centre, and then proceed to their destination via Ashok Rajpath and Patna's Marine Drive. Meanwhile, vehicles coming from Ashok Rajpath towards City Centre Mall will be allowed via Navin Police Centre gate no.1 and Bank Road.
