Bereaved parents Zacc and Stephanie Hancock are honoring their daughter, Amarni Jessica Rose Walton, who tragically passed away in a car crash on Newcastle Road, Moreton, on May 1, 2026. The incident resulted in three other individuals sustaining serious injuries, but Amarni was the sole fatality.
To celebrate Amarni's life and her 21st birthday, which would have been on June 22, 2026, her parents have organized a family fun day. This event, taking place at Kidsgrove Athletic Development Centre, has grown from a small charity football match into a significant community gathering.
The fun day will feature an auction, bouncy castles, tug of war, various stalls, a DJ, and food. While entry is free, donations collected will be given to charity. The parents expressed being overwhelmed by the community's support, which has provided them with the strength to create a large-scale event to keep Amarni's memory alive.
