Three paramedics have been injured after their ambulance was involved in a collision while en route to an emergency. The North West Ambulance Service vehicle was responding with blue lights activated when the crash occurred on Eardswick Lane in Crewe on Friday evening.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident. The three injured staff members were taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital for treatment. A spokesperson confirmed that there was no patient on board the ambulance at the time of the crash.
