Painter's Tragic Fall: Safety Negligence Alleged

Tragedy struck Gurgaon's Sector 42 on Tuesday when a 32-year-old painter, Avdhesh Nishad from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, lost his life after falling from the fifth floor of a residential building. The incident highlights serious concerns about workplace safety.
Avdhesh was engaged in exterior painting work with a colleague, Ranvijay, when the mishap occurred. According to the complaint filed by Avdhesh's brother, the rope and ladder system used for painting the outer wall allegedly slipped, leading to their fall. Avdhesh sustained fatal injuries, while Ranvijay was also injured and is currently receiving medical attention.
In response to the incident, police have registered an FIR against the contractors under relevant sections of the new penal code for negligence leading to death and negligent conduct in building activities. An investigation is underway to determine accountability and gather statements from witnesses and contractors.
