Two individuals sustained injuries following a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Friday, April 24, in the town of Seneca. The collision took place at the intersection of Wabash Road and Kashong Switch Road. Authorities reported that a vehicle traveling eastbound on Kashong Switch Road failed to observe a stop sign.
This violation led to a collision with a vehicle traveling southbound on Wabash Road. The driver of the Hyundai, identified as a woman, was found unconscious and suffering from severe injuries. She was transported by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital. The male driver of the Ford F-150 complained of pain and was taken to the same hospital via ambulance.
The driver responsible for failing to stop at the stop sign was issued a traffic ticket. The roadway was temporarily closed for the reconstruction of the crash scene.
