A five-year-old boy has sustained life-changing injuries following a hit-and-run incident in North-West London. The collision occurred on Kilburn High Road around 5:00 PM on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026. Emergency services, including an Air Ambulance, responded to the scene.
The driver of the vehicle involved had fled before police arrived. Investigators later arrested a 57-year-old man on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene. He is currently in custody.
Detective Inspector Mark Braithwaite urged the public to come forward with any information or dashcam footage that could aid the investigation. The London Ambulance Service confirmed their response and that the child was treated at the scene before being transported to a major trauma center.
