Tyler Wiebe, a father of two, experienced a life-altering event in early June when a car collision in Brisbane, Australia, left him crushed beneath a vehicle. The incident occurred when a car driving the wrong way struck another vehicle, causing Wiebe to fall from his motorcycle and become pinned.
Employees from a nearby business, Auto Request Kedron, heard the crash and rushed to the scene. They found Wiebe trapped, with only his legs visible. Initially unable to lift the roughly 3,300-lb. car, they were joined by other bystanders for a second, successful attempt.
Wiebe described a terrifying struggle for survival, unable to breathe and feeling immense pressure that affected his heart. He credits the swift actions of the rescuers for saving his life, believing he had only seconds to spare. He sustained severe injuries, including broken ribs and a collapsed lung.
During a recent reunion, Wiebe expressed his profound gratitude to the rescuers by presenting them with "Certified Legend" T-shirts. He confirmed that he will no longer ride motorcycles after the harrowing experience.
