Truck Kills Mother, Infant After Motorcycle Crash

Tragedy struck late Sunday on the national highway in Sitapur district when a 22-year-old woman and her five-month-old daughter lost their lives. The incident occurred near Nai Bazar in Ataria town.
The woman, Archana, was traveling with her cousin, Sunil Kumar, and her infant daughter on a motorcycle. As they approached Nai Bazar, the motorcycle reportedly went out of control, causing Archana and the baby to fall onto the highway.
A truck, traveling behind them, then ran over the mother and child, resulting in their immediate deaths. Sunil Kumar sustained serious injuries and was admitted to a private hospital.
Authorities have reached the scene, sent the bodies for post-mortem examination, and informed the victims' families. A search is underway for the truck and its driver, who fled the scene. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
