- An investigation revealed the attraction operated without a proper license.

A tragic incident occurred on Thursday in Chinacota, Colombia, where 28-year-old Cristel Camila Garcia lost her life after falling 15 feet from a high-thrill amusement park slide. The attraction, which had been operational for only two weeks, features a near-vertical drop.
Garcia, a mother of a four-year-old daughter, was reportedly pushed onto the slide by a worker. Despite assurances she would land in a pool, she crashed off at the first bend, sustaining fatal injuries, including to her head. She passed away en route to the hospital.
Local authorities immediately launched a police investigation into the accident. The amusement park ride was subsequently closed. Council chiefs confirmed that initial inquiries indicated the attraction had been operating without the required proper license.
The attraction operator, Entre Flores, expressed condolences and sympathy to Garcia's family, stating their commitment to cooperating fully with the authorities in clarifying the facts surrounding the incident. However, a relative of the deceased disputed claims of contact from the operator, demanding a thorough investigation and accountability due to alleged lack of security at the establishment.
