Authorities confirmed that contact was made with Evans following coordination efforts. Earlier, police had reason to believe she had checked into a hotel using her passport on the French side of the island and had been seen in the vicinity. She had reportedly disembarked for an organized tour and got off a bus in Marigot, Saint Martin.
The cruise line stated it appreciated the efforts of the local authorities in Sint Maarten. The situation has since been resolved, with the passenger found safe and accounted for.
