Framingham Man's Miracle Rescue After Tree Collapse

A Massachusetts man, Eric Freeman, recently experienced a life-changing event when a massive pine tree crashed onto his car, pinning him inside and causing severe injuries. The incident occurred on an early December night as Freeman was driving through Framingham.
Fortunately, first responders arrived rapidly on the scene. Paramedic Don Avery, who happened upon the accident, expressed surprise that Freeman was alive given the extent of the damage to the vehicle. Bystanders also assisted in removing parts of the tree to free Freeman.
Freeman, who has sustained serious injuries including a plate in his skull and a bar in his spine, is now recovering and expressed profound gratitude for the community and the emergency personnel. Senator President Karen Spilka lauded the responders' expertise and fast action, stating it prevented a potentially fatal outcome.
