Teen Girl Dies After Falling From Motorcycle in Mira Road

A tragic accident occurred in Mira Road on Monday afternoon, claiming the life of 17-year-old Bhoomi Mishra. The incident took place around 1:30 pm under the Silver Park flyover when a motorcycle carrying Mishra and her 17-year-old friend, Yash Mali, collided with a tempo.
Mali was reportedly attempting to maneuver the motorcycle through a narrow gap between an autorickshaw and the tempo. Due to alleged high speed, he lost control, causing Mishra to fall from the vehicle. Tragically, the wheel of a trolley attached to the tempo ran over her head, leading to her death.
While Mali suffered minor injuries, the tempo driver fled the scene immediately after the collision. Mira Road police have registered cases against both Mali and the unidentified tempo driver under relevant sections of law. An investigation is underway, including a spot panchnama, and efforts are being made to apprehend the absconding tempo driver.
