A child has been taken to hospital in a serious condition after reportedly falling from a window in Middlesbrough. The incident occurred on Palmer Street in the Gresham area shortly before 5pm on Thursday, April 2. Emergency services, including paramedics, were dispatched to the scene and provided immediate treatment before transporting the youngster to James Cook University Hospital.
Cleveland Police confirmed an investigation has been opened to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the fall. A police cordon was in place on Palmer Street as detectives conducted enquiries, including speaking with residents and reviewing available footage. The North East Ambulance Service confirmed they were called at 4:46pm to reports of a person injured. The child remains in a serious but stable condition at the hospital as investigations continue.
