Tragic Yamuna Expressway Crash Kills Four, Injures 27

A severe bus-truck collision on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura district resulted in four fatalities and 27 injuries. The incident occurred around 4 am when the bus, en route from Lucknow to Delhi, crashed into a container truck. Reports indicate the bus was carrying more passengers than its capacity allowed and was being operated by the conductor at the time of the crash.
Emergency services faced difficulties during the rescue operation, as many passengers were asleep and trapped within the mangled front section of the bus. Rescuers utilized gas cutters to extricate individuals, with the operation lasting approximately two hours. The deceased have been identified as the bus driver, conductor, a cleaner, and one passenger.
Twenty-seven injured passengers were transported to the district hospital. Several have been referred to other hospitals for advanced treatment, including some in Agra, while a few patients from Delhi are also being moved. While some victims sustained serious injuries like fractures, the condition of most others is reported as stable.
