The M25 motorway has been significantly impacted by a large-scale collision involving multiple vehicles. The incident has led to the complete closure of both clockwise and anti-clockwise carriageways near Junction 6, resulting in extensive delays for drivers. National Highways reported that traffic is being held on the M25 clockwise at Junction 6, close to Godstone. Commuters are facing delays estimated at over 60 minutes, with congestion stretching for approximately six miles approaching the closure point. The situation is exacerbated by extreme weather conditions, as temperatures are expected to reach as high as 40C on the day of the incident, adding to the challenges faced by stranded motorists and emergency responders.
