In Aliganj, a 60-year-old woman, Kamla Devi, passed away on Monday in Maholiya village. Her death is attributed to severe chest pain allegedly induced by a loud DJ system. Kamla Devi was on her way to the Gauri Shankar temple with her daughter-in-law for a religious ritual. A family member reported that the DJ system, mounted on a tractor-trolley, was operating at high decibels approximately 400-450 metres from the temple. As the tractor passed, Kamla Devi clutched her chest and collapsed. The family believes the intense sound and vibrations were the direct cause of her death. They declined a post-mortem and proceeded with her last rites on Tuesday. It was noted that Kamla Devi had a pre-existing condition of high blood pressure and a known sensitivity to loud sounds.
