Tragic Train Collision Claims Two Lives Near Lodi

Fundraisers are underway to assist two families in covering funeral costs for relatives who perished in a train collision near Lodi last weekend. The incident involved a truck that drove through guardrails on Armstrong Road and was subsequently struck by a northbound train. The collision resulted in the truck catching fire.
Tragically, both individuals in the truck were pronounced dead at the scene. One victim, Rafael Cedeno Lozano, 37, a Walnut Grove resident and father of three, was a passenger in the truck. The driver, Marcos Segoviano, 29, was from Lodi and had recently purchased a home with his wife.
Fundraising pages have been created to support the families. As of Friday morning, both campaigns were nearing their goals, with over $9,500 raised for Rafael Cedeno Lozano and nearly $20,000 for Marcos Segoviano. Investigators have not yet disclosed if alcohol was a contributing factor to the collision.
