Leopard's Monsoon Terror: Child Abducted and Killed

Fear of leopard attacks has intensified in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, during the monsoon season. A two-year-old boy, Rohit, was allegedly abducted from his home in Mussepur Pali village and killed approximately 200 metres away. His body was discovered near the village boundary, bearing injury marks on the head. Forest officials confirmed the presence of leopard pugmarks at the scene, indicating a recent attack.

This tragic incident follows a similar suspected leopard attack in the Najibabad area, where a seven-year-old boy was killed. Residents across the district are demanding intensified surveillance, regular patrolling, and prompt capture of the animals responsible. Forest department teams have launched combing operations using drones to locate the elusive leopard, but it remains at large. The community has expressed deep sorrow and called for decisive action to prevent further tragedies.
