On Saturday, seven people were confirmed dead and 33 others sustained injuries due to incidents related to the severe weather. The fatalities included two children, four men, and one woman, with the injured comprising seven men, twelve women, and fourteen children.
Incidents of roof and wall collapses were attributed to the extreme weather conditions experienced in districts such as Bannu, Shangla, and Mansehra. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) is working closely with Rescue 1122 and district administrations to manage relief efforts effectively.
Officials are urging residents to limit non-essential travel, especially to tourist areas, and to adhere to all advisories issued by government agencies. The PDMA's Emergency Operation Centre remains operational to assist affected individuals, who can reach out via helpline 1700 for further information.
