Kerala House Burns Down: Family Escapes Blaze

A fire tragically gutted a two-room house in Punnam Karikkakom, near Kattakada in Thiruvananthapuram, on Friday. The occupants, Sridevi and her husband, managed to escape the blaze unharmed after noticing flames. Preliminary reports suggest the fire may have started from the kitchen stove while cooking.
By the time fire and rescue services personnel arrived from Kattakada station, the house and most household items were destroyed. Sridevi, a member of the Haritha Karma Sena, lost cash, important documents, and valuable papers. Notably, documents related to her inclusion in the LIFE housing scheme were also lost in the incident. Firefighters successfully brought the fire under control, and an investigation into the cause is currently underway.
