Kedarnath Route Blocked Again by Rain Debris

Heavy rainfall has once again obstructed the Kedarnath pedestrian route near the Chirbasa helipad. Debris and stones accumulated on the path, halting the movement of pilgrims towards Shri Kedarnath Dham. The Rudraprayag administration acted swiftly upon receiving the information.

To ensure pilgrim safety, movement has been temporarily suspended at Sonprayag and Gaurikund. Authorities are closely monitoring the weather and the condition of the route. Clearance operations are scheduled to commence as soon as the weather permits, with a dedicated team working to restore the trekking path. Further announcements will be made once the route is deemed safe for travel.
