Toxic Vinegar Recall: Amazon Product Poses Fatal Risk
21 Feb
Summary
- Hundreds of bottles of Joly's 80% Vinegar recalled from Amazon.
- Product lacks warning labels, risks fatal poisoning or burns.
- Consumers urged to contact Joly's for refunds and disposal.

Federal regulators have initiated a recall for approximately 450 bottles of Joly's 80% Vinegar, which were sold on Amazon.com. The recall, announced on Thursday, stems from the product's failure to display essential warning labels, a violation of federal hazardous substance laws.
The affected products are 32-ounce bottles of industrial-strength vinegar manufactured by Joly's LLC. These were available for purchase on Amazon between May and November of 2025. The transparent bottles are identifiable by their orange and red labels, clearly marking them as "Joly's" and "80% Vinegar."
Consumers acquired two-bottle packs for about $23. The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a stark warning: ingesting the vinegar could be deadly, while improper contact risks severe burns to the skin and eyes. No injuries have been reported thus far.
Customers are strongly advised to keep the product away from children and contact Joly's LLC directly via email at jolysllc@gmail.com. They should request instructions for a refund and proper disposal, providing a photo of the original packaging with "RECALLED" written on it.
