- A viral video of an injured woman being carried in arms ignited outrage.

An accident in Jaisalmer resulted in the death of an 18-year-old Kalbelia dancer, Raveena Sapera, on Thursday. The speeding Eco van lost control near School Number 3 in the Kotwali police station area, hitting Raveena and her two sisters, Kalpana and Mamta Sapera, who were walking nearby. Raveena tragically died after being trapped between the vehicle and a wall.
The incident took a critical turn when an injured Kalpana Sapera was filmed being carried in a man's arms to Jawahir Hospital. This footage went viral, triggering significant public anger and criticism directed at the state's healthcare services and Rajasthan's Health Minister. Officials from Jawahir Hospital, however, denied any lack of prompt action, calling the allegations baseless.
Raish Khan, the individual who carried Kalpana, contradicted the hospital's statement, asserting that no stretchers or wheelchairs were available. He described a chaotic scene, emphasizing the lack of immediate medical assistance. The driver of the van, Togaram Khatri, was also injured and hospitalized.
