- Family established GoFundMe for medical expenses and support.

A harrowing car crash on black ice has left an Idaho woman facing a long and arduous recovery, with doctors needing to reconstruct much of her face. The incident occurred as she was traveling to visit family, when her truck slid on icy conditions and collided head-on with another vehicle.
The collision resulted in devastating injuries, including a shattered upper palate, teeth, jaw, eye socket, nose, and cheek. She underwent a grueling five-hour surgery and required a tracheostomy for breathing assistance. Her jaw has been wired shut, and she is currently being fed via a stomach tube.
Authorities are reminding drivers to exercise caution on winter roads, especially given the prevalence of black ice. The family has launched a fundraising campaign to help cover the substantial medical expenses and to provide financial support while the mother of three is unable to work.
