Mr. Gledhill was a highly respected member of Denton St Lawrence Cricket Club, known for his significant contributions to the club, particularly with its junior section. His funeral was planned for September 11 at Stockport Crematorium, with a reception to follow at Denton St Lawrence Cricket Club.
Emergency services, including multiple fire engines and ambulances, responded to the incident. Police secured the scene, and hotel operations were temporarily affected, with guests being rerouted to a different entrance. Bags of evidence, including personal items and tools, were seen being collected by authorities.
