Hope Field Rises: A Community's New Beginning

Hope Field, a newly renovated wiffle ball facility at Annunciation Catholic Church and School, was unveiled on Saturday. This space has been renamed to honor Harper Moyski and Fletcher Merkel, two young children who lost their lives in a tragic shooting at the church last year. The renovation project was entirely funded by the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Twins Community Fund. They collaborated with several other prominent entities, including the Pohlad family, Mortenson, HGA, Target, U.S. Bank, the Toro Company, and Delta Dental of Minnesota.

The revamped field is intended to serve as a central point for the community. It aims to foster a sense of togetherness, providing a place for prayer, recreation, and the creation of new, positive memories. Annunciation School Principal Matthew DeBoer emphasized the field's role in community healing and remembrance. The celebration featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a ceremonial first pitch. This event marked a significant moment of hope and resilience for a community that has endured profound pain, offering a place to heal and move forward.
