A Hong Kong survivor is keeping the memory of his wife alive through treasured holiday photographs, one month after she perished in a devastating fire. Yip Ka-kui lost his wife of four decades, Pak Shui-lin, in the blaze that tragically killed 161 people at the Wang Fuk Court housing complex.

The fire, which quickly engulfed multiple residential towers wrapped in substandard netting during renovations, has left thousands displaced and grieving. Experts emphasize the profound psychological impact on survivors and bereaved families, noting that healing from such a large-scale, shocking event will be a long and difficult process for the community.

Investigations into the fire are progressing, with 21 arrests made in connection with construction and contractor firms.
