A tragic hit-and-run incident has left James Weinstein, a 32-year-old Mariners fan, in critical condition. The incident occurred on Canyon Road East after a recent game when Weinstein accidentally dropped his sunglasses out of a car window. While attempting to retrieve them, he was struck by a dark-colored pickup truck heading southbound.
Tragically, Weinstein was then hit a second time by another vehicle as he lay in the road. The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene and called for help. Weinstein suffered extensive injuries, including a broken clavicle, arm, ribs, femur, and a severed leg artery. He is currently in intensive care, with his family working to preserve his leg and facing a long recovery period.
