Guard Hit, Dies After 5 Days: Hunt for Hit-and-Run Driver

A tragic hit-and-run incident on February 12 resulted in the death of Dilip Kumar, a 48-year-old security guard. Kumar was struck by an unidentified vehicle near Dadi Sati Chowk in Sector 86 while on his way home from work around 9:50 PM. The vehicle, reportedly traveling at high speed, fled the scene immediately after the collision.
Kumar was initially taken to a government hospital in Sector 10 before being referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. He was later admitted to ESI Hospital in Faridabad for further treatment, where he passed away on February 17. His son filed a complaint at the Kherki Daula police station, leading to an FIR under relevant sections of the BNS, including causing death by negligence.
Authorities are now investigating the incident, actively working to identify the vehicle responsible. This involves a thorough review of CCTV footage from the surrounding areas and pursuing local leads to apprehend the driver. The investigation aims to bring closure to this unfortunate incident.
