Kumar was struck by an unidentified vehicle near Dadi Sati Chowk in Sector 86 while on his way home from work around 9:50 PM. Kumar was initially taken to a government hospital in Sector 10 before being referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. He was later admitted to ESI Hospital in Faridabad for further treatment, where he passed away on February 17. His son filed a complaint at the Kherki Daula police station, leading to an FIR under relevant sections of the BNS, including causing death by negligence.
