A selfless act of bravery in Arvada, Colorado, saw Bill Dehner sustain severe injuries after pushing his fiancée, Letitia Gaillard, out of the path of an out-of-control vehicle. The incident occurred when a car unexpectedly drove into Cornerstone Liquor & Wine, striking Dehner.
Dehner suffered broken legs and has been in and out of surgery since the incident on Wednesday, December 3rd. He faces a potential recovery period of six months to a year and expressed concern about his ability to work. Despite his injuries, Dehner stated his only concern was that Gaillard and his daughter were safe.
Gaillard has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to support Dehner's recovery. Donations are sought to help secure a wheelchair-accessible home and vehicle, crucial for his rehabilitation. Authorities reported that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash, and the driver was cited for careless driving.
