- Despite injuries, he squeezed through a small window to reach trapped individuals.

Head Constable Dinesh Yadav sustained stitches and burn injuries while bravely rescuing individuals from a burning hotel in South Delhi. Arriving at the scene, Yadav noticed two women signaling for help from a small bathroom window. He climbed a ladder and, after breaking the glass with a hammer, squeezed through the confined space.
Inside, he found two Nigerian women struggling with thick smoke. He successfully lifted one woman onto his shoulder and maneuvered her through the window to safety. He then re-entered the smoke-filled bathroom to rescue the second woman, facing near-unconsciousness from smoke inhalation.
The officer's determination was fueled by thoughts of his young daughter. He managed to drag himself out through the broken glass, sustaining further cuts. He later assisted in rescuing other trapped guests, alongside his injured brother, Head Constable Kartar Singh.
After being discharged from the hospital, Yadav expressed relief that the women he rescued survived, noting they, like him, received another chance at life. The incident highlighted the rapid and devastating spread of the fire.
