Sand Truck Tragedy: Helper Buried Alive in Gurgaon

In Gurgaon's Sector 113, a tragic accident occurred early on Friday morning when a truck helper, identified as 16-year-old Priyanshu, died after being buried under a load of sand and gravel. The incident happened as the truck driver began unloading the material, unaware that the helper was positioned behind the vehicle. Priyanshu was trapped by the falling sand and gravel when the driver proceeded to lift the truck's body hydraulically. Despite his cries for help, the entire consignment was offloaded, completely burying him. Alerted by an ERV call, police arrived to find an emergency response team already working to free the victim. He was rushed to Manipal Hospital but was declared deceased due to his injuries. The driver of the truck is currently being sought by the authorities. A case has been registered under Section 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for causing death by negligence, and the truck has been impounded as the investigation continues into the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
